About us

Can Clémentine has been owned by a Swedish family since 2019. We simply fell in love with the house and decided to make it into the kind of holiday-let property they always looked for. As keen travelers with a love for luxury boutique hotels we tried to make Can Clémentine a holiday let where you feel at home.

Terms and conditions

Rental agreement

The person signing the booking is confirming that he/she is authorized to accept the terms for the booking for all persons stated on the booking form, inclusive of any persons added or exchanged at a later date. The signing person needs to be a part of the renting party and be over 18 years old.

The tenants responsibility

The number of persons (inclusive of infants) can not exceed the maximum number of allowed guests. If the number of guests is exceeded a fee of 250 Euro will be issued. Parking of caravans or raising tents on the plot is strictly forbidden. The tenant is not allowed to perform any damaging, dangerous or illegal activities on the property. It is also not allowed to store explosive, combustible or corrosive substances in the house. It is strictly forbidden to open fires, except in dedicated spaces. The owners have the right to end the rental agreement immediately without any refund if these rules are not followed

The tenant will take care of the house and leave it in the same condition as it was on arrival. The tenant will be solely and directly responsible for any damages caused to people and the property from installations and appliances in the house. The tenant agrees that the owner or a representative for the owner will have access to the house for urgent reparations.

The tenant agrees to pay for any damages caused to the property during the rental period, such as things that break, lose, or damage to the interior, walls etc. We recommend our guests have good travel insurance covering everyone in the travel party. Guardia Civil demands all rental properties to report the names of their guests 24h after arrival. The tenant will have to send in copies of passports for everyone over 16 years old.

Arrival and departure

The owner expects you to arrive at the house the first day of the rental period between 4 PM and 8 PM local time. One the last day of the rental period you are expected to leave the property before 10 AM local time. If the house is not left in time a fee of 250 Euro will be issued per every starting hour of delay. Any damages to the property or belongings to the property should be informed to the house management before leaving the property. Extensive costs for repairing the property shall be negotiated directly between the owner and the tenant.

Payment

The booking is secured by paying a deposit of 30% of the full rental cost at time of booking. The difference between the rent plus a damage deposit of 500 Euro should be paid a month before the rental period starts. All payments should be made to the owner's account.

No access to the property

If, for any reason beyond the owners control, for example fire damage and the property is not disposable on the booked dates all prepaid rent will be paid back to the tenant. The tenant doesn't have any more rights towards the owner.

Changes to the bookings

Requests for changing the booking must be done in writing.

Complaints

The owners have made their best efforts in making sure that the information given about the property is correct, however they can not be held responsible if any changes are made due to regular maintenance, renovations or any kind of disasters.

Under no circumstances can the owners have a greater refund responsibility than the amount the tenant has paid.  To be able to solve issues in a timely manner, all complaints need to be emailed to the owner as soon as they occur. Complaints informed after the rental period will not be accepted nor be ground for a refund

Damage deposits

All bookings are accepted on the terms that the tenant is responsible for and will pay for any damages to the property or loss or damage to its inventory during the rental period (this also includes any damages discovered after. Due to this a damage deposit needs to be paid in advance. The damage deposit will be paid back to the tenant a week after departure when costs for any possible damages are deducted.

Prices

All prices mentioned in the contract are final.

Cancellation

If the tenant wants to cancel the booking he/she should inform the owner immediately. When the owner has received the cancellation it will try to get another tenant if possible. If the owner finds a new tenant for the period the per-paid rent will be paid back (except a small admin cost). If the owner doesn’t find a new tenant the tenant will have to fulfill its part of the contract and pay the remaining rent.

Privacy policy

The owner is allowed to store information for Guarda Civil (explained above) for legal reasons for up to five years after the stay.  The owner is allowed to save email addresses and phone numbers for future marketing purposes. By signing this agreement, the tenant agrees with these terms.

Ruling law

The parties must by this agreement acknowledge that Spanish law and court system is to be used regardless of the tenant’s nationality.
